You Say It's Your Birthday: Part 2 is the 32nd episode and the second part of the finale of Season 6 on FOX drama soap Beverly Hills, 90210.

Synopsis Edit

The party continues with a Goo Goo Dolls birthday concert. Colin gets ready to leave the country, while Valerie hones in on his whereabouts. Clare is put in an awkward position between Prince Carl and Steve. Brandon and Steve, sharing their sorrow over troubled relationships, find themselves caught up in a bar brawl with guest star Pauly Shore.

Plot Edit

On the Queen Mary, Steve tells Clare about Carl's feelings for her and tries to persuade her not to fulfill Carl's wish. Meanwhile, David and Donna decide to get back together, while still avoiding Erik. Joan tells Nat that she may be pregnant from her constant sickness. While Colin is trying to get the necessary papers and identity to leave the country on a freighter, Steve and Brandon end up in jail from a barroom brawl after taking out their frustrations on drunken bar slobs in which Kelly and Valerie have to bail them out. Eventually, Nat proposes marriage to Joan who accepts. Colin is finally caught, Steve and Clare get back together, and Brandon coldly breaks up with Susan after she admits her career means more to her than anything.

Kelly – Choosing between you and Dylan? Think about how that would've affected the two of you. What kind of choice is that?
Brandon – Yeah maybe you're right
Kelly – I just want another chance
—Kelly reveals the truth
Valerie – So are you saying that it wouldn't happen? You and Kelly getting back together?
Brandon – I don't know. If Dylan and Brenda found each other in a town of 15 million, if you include the outlying areas... it could happen
Valerie – (to herself) Not if I can help it


  • Last appearances of Susan Keats and Colin Robbins
  • Brandon and Steve get arrested for a bar brawl, in the midst of which they spot Colin
  • Donna tells David that she didn't stop liking who he is when he cheated on her, that she viewed it as him being human and making a mistake.
  • Susan takes the job in Washington and Brandon coldly breaks up with her
  • David and Donna reunite.
  • Dylan writes a letter to Kelly; Brenda an e-mail to Brandon saying the same thing: they are living together in London!
  • Kelly tells Brandon that she wanted to be with him last year, but didn't choose because she didn't want to ruin anything between him and Dylan, and asks if she can have a second chance with him. Brandon turns her down saying they need time to mend from their respective break-ups.
  • The guy who fights with Steve and Brandon in the bar is portrayed by Pauly Shore, who was Thiessen's boyfriend at the time[1]
