Robinson 'Robbie' Ashe III, played by Eugene Byrd, is a character introduced in the first series of the Beverly Hills, 90210 continuity, appearing in the episode Ashes to Ashes.
Robbie was an African-American student at West Beverly Hills High School who transferred in when his family relocated from Inglewood. Andrea Zuckerman was instantly impressed by some photos he sent into the paper and wanted Brandon Walsh to convince him to join the Beverly Blaze.
Brandon and Robbie became fast friends with Robbie coincidentally living across the street. His father was a self-made man who invented his own popcorn enterprise. However, Brandon also befriend Robbie's sister, Sherice, and soon Robbie began to feel like he was being used to further Brandon's reporter duties and date his sister. He exploded on Brandon after he gave him a veiled ultimatum.
Robbie later took photographs of Brandon and Devo Demars for a story and had them published as the new staff photographer. he was last seen with the gang at the Walsh home.
