Tammy Hansen was a recurring character played by Shawn Batten on Beverly Hills, 90210, the first series of the Beverly Hills, 90210 continuity. She appeared in Season 8.
Tammy was police officer who met Steve Sanders at the Peach Pit After Dark after a bad blind date. She had him kiss her to get rid of the other guy before she left the club, leaving Steve dumbfounded. Coincidence came into play later when she pulled Steve over for running a stop sign.
Although no official date ever occurred, Steve and Brandon Walsh went with Tammy and her partner, Glen, on a ride-along in their police car. They witnessed Glen using excessive force on a possible suspect. When Brandon was going to write an article on the experience, Tammy begged him not to ruin Glen's career when he was only a few months from retirement and was getting counseling after the death of his last partner in similar circumstances. Brandon listened and chose to kill the story.
