Arnold first appears conducting work on a task force, which includes Brandon Walsh and the two form a genial working relationship. Once Clare starts CU and becomes part of the gang, Chancellor Arnold visits at special occasions and gets to know Steve Sanders, as Steve and Clare begin a romance.
